Jang Gyuri, the former member of K-pop girl group fromis_9, is starting the new year with a stunning pictorial for Allure Korea’s January 2025 issue.  The actress and singer showcases her timeless beauty and versatility in a series of captivating photos that have already garnered significant attention from fans and fashion enthusiasts alike.

Since departing from fromis_9 in July 2022, Gyuri has been focusing on her acting career with notable success. She made her acting debut in the SBS television series “Cheer Up” in late 2022, marking her first project after leaving the group and the transition from idol to actress has been met with enthusiasm from fans who have followed her journey since her days on the reality show “Idol School.”Gyuri’s career has seen significant developments in recent years.

After initially signing with Just Entertainment in August 2022, she made a move to Namoo Actors in September 2024, signaling her commitment to pursuing more diverse acting roles.  Her filmography has been steadily growing, with appearances in various television series, including a cameo in “Flex X Cop” and a role in the second season of “Player”.

Most recently, Gyuri has taken on the role of Na Yu Ri, a confident and charismatic news anchor, in the upcoming MBC drama “When the Phone Rings”.  Set to air on November 22, 2025, at 9:50 p.m. KST, the drama has generated buzz due to its intriguing premise and strong cast, which includes Yoo Yeon Seok and Chae Soo Bin.

In preparation for her role as a news anchor, Gyuri has shown remarkable dedication, taking speech lessons from a professional anchor and meticulously studying the mannerisms and presentation styles typical of the profession.

Her commitment to authenticity extends to every aspect of her character, from gestures and posture to clothing and makeup.

As Gyuri continues to evolve as an actress, her fans eagerly anticipate her future projects.
