Everyone must already know about this popular opinion like “Dont ship malexfemale idols, they might be uncomfortable/awkward with other!”
But then when I think about it bxg ship used to be so much popular around 2nd & 3rd gen era, in fact we also have show like WGM, bgxgg doing CF together (the famous caribean bay), and those also make many bxg ship born. Somehow because of these join event & ship both the bg & gg are even closer & didnt look awkward. Somehow BTS & BP fans used to be closer because of these ship thing iykyk. Sungjoy was mad popular even BTOB & RV become bestie, TaeminxNaeun, and many more.
So I really wonder what really change now? Interestingly the decrease of bxg ship also happened around the same time when male x female idols barely interact now. Interestingly too when people said “dont ship them” its not applicable to bxb or gxg ships. The bxb & gxg ships keep increasing nowadays & I feel like people not against it as hard as bxg ships. Somehow people nowadays also okay to call or joke about the interaction between male x female idols as queer despite we never know these idol’s sexuality
Back then both bxg & bxb ships were already exist but somehow the atmosphere is different nowadays. I wonder what is it that makes it all different? Do bxg ships really the cause of male x female idol not getting closer now? Is it because fans nowadays take shipping seriously? Or Is it because of the fandom rivalry? And I think like if shipping bxg is the cause of them not interacting then wouldnt bxb & gxg ships can also cause this too?
What do you all think makes the different? Im really curious cuz from what I see bxg ships is still popular nowadays in kdrama world yet it didnt affect the actor’s interaction too & so does bxb ships that is getting popular too now in kdrama world.
