Do Kpop idols that used to temporarily live in the West get better at English over time during their career?

I’m thinking about idols like Lia. They didn’t spend too much time living in the West, but their English is pretty good.

I can’t imagine that their English got so good just from a few years living abroad.

I feel like when you are the one member of a group that has lived a little bit in an English speaking country, the company / group then sees you as the “English speaking member” and makes you do all the English speaking. And that is what causes their English to improve, out of necessity.

Are there any idols where this can be clearly noticed over their career? I guess even during trainee days the company is probably preparing them to be the English speaker.
