I’m researching master’s programs in Korea (especially AI) but have a non-traditional academic background. Hoping to get insights from those familiar with university admissions. My Situation: – Education: Completed 2 years of a UK bachelor’s (received a Diploma of Higher Education). No full bachelor’s degree. – Experience: Self-taught in Python and Machine Learning(with related projects). – Goal: Apply for a master’s in Korea (e.g., AI, or Social Data Science) via GKS
Questions: 1. Which Korean universities are known to accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree? – I’ve heard some consider work experience/certifications (e.g., KAIST, Hanyang). Any confirmed cases? 2. Does GKS ever waive the bachelor’s requirement for exceptional candidates? 3. If I finish an online bachelor’s (e.g., University of London), will Korean unis accept it? 4. Are there “pre-master’s” or bridging programs for non-degree holders? Additional Context: – I’m aware most universities officially require a bachelor’s, but I’ve seen exceptions in other countries (e.g., Germany). – I’m willing to take extra courses or prove my skills via portfolio/exams.
Any advice or personal experiences? Thanks in advance!
