what do korean universities want?

This is going to be a lowkey rant and an advice-seeking post. (posted in Living_in_Korea as well)

I graduated with my bachelor’s degree in business with a CGPA of 3.88/4, an IELTS score of 8.5, and TOPIK level 5. I have about 1.5 years of internship experience and 8 months of full-time work experience. I applied for the GKG G 2024 embassy track and made it to the final round, but unfortunately, none of the three universities selected me. I moved on, telling myself that I had chosen only top universities and that this year the competition was tougher.

I then decided to apply directly to other universities for a Master’s in Business Administration. I applied to three universities—two in Seoul (not SKY) and one in Daegu—and got rejected from all of them. I’ve been racking my brain, trying to figure out why. I literally can’t think of a single reason. Is it because of my nationality? Or is getting into the masters in business administration program as a foreigner tough, especially since the course is entirely in Korean? I’m just so tired of trying and getting rejected without knowing the reason why.
