Not everything is misandry/misogyny/sexism

First off, yes, sexism/ misandry/misogyny are very prevalent in Kpop. Especially misogyny. However, I find it kind of strange how people jump to sexism/misandry/ misogyny the moment an idol gets hated on. Should the idol get hated on? Nope(unless they’ve genuinely done something bad).

Hating on an idol who’s done nothing wrong is bad. But that doesn’t mean, that they hate the entire gender, and that they somehow have “internalized hate” towards that gender. For starters, you can feel hatred towards a person without hating the entire gender. If I have beef against some lady at work, does that mean I hate all women? Nope.

Second off, you don’t even know most of these bitter people, or why they’re even hating. For starters, they could genuinely just hate that idol in particular(which is obviously still very wrong), they could just be saying it for clout, they could just say what everyone else is saying, they could just be bitter and more. Perhaps they’re fans of another group, that has some sort of beef with that group.

Third of all, I’ve noticed that people point out that when an idol dates, one gender gets all the hate. This could be true, however, you have to keep in mind that the person receiving the most hate could easily just be because they’re more popular. I’ve noticed some people going “oh, Lisa gets more hate than Felix”(not real, just using random people). Well I wonder why, could it be that Lisa is more well known?

So in conclusion, I think immediately jumping to misandry/sexism/misogyny is wrong, and kind of irritating to see. I think it takes away and minimizes from what these actually are. Much bigger problems than people having beef with an idol.
