I’ve been listening to boynextdoor non stop for 6 months now and I genuinely mean non stop
all their songs are so good ..I just get off my bed and start grooving..so I thought ukw I’ll learn their dances
(a little backstory..I swear I’m making a point)
i remember how itzy used to have so many fun dances that I somehow ended up learning them… even for lesserafim and then obviously bts seventeen and alooot of kpop groups..lately cortis and lngshot too
and the thing about dance routines is u get so mesmerized by it that u end up loving the songs too
and it’s soooo fun and the dances just go with the song
i hadn’t watched any of bnds dance routines but I love love love their mv.. there’s sm story and these visual effects and obviously their lyrics and storytelling is amazing.. partly the reason I’m so drawn to them
so I wanted to learn their dances to enjoy their songs more
but omg they r so underwhelming and I genuinelyyy feel bad…theres so muchhhh potential in their songs to have good choreo and I got so irritated looking at the choreos like huhh???? it doesn’t do justice to the song at alllllllll
and I can understand they focus more on the storytelling vibes and giving each member a relaxed camera time but….aren’t dance kindof the essence of kpop songs
i kept telling myself that they can have those kindof choreos since their lyrics have a lot of stories…but for the chorus at least they should have smth catchy?
i genuinely feel bad for them and ik the boys probably have been trained sm and have pretty good dancing skills
and this lately got me even mad when one of my friends who isn’t into kpop started liking cortis JUST BCOZ of the redred dance and I was like wow that’s good but I was so jealous and I wanted her to listen to bnd but I cldnt find any choreo that wld intrigue her interest
ik a group can just not be a performance group… it is totally fine but I still wish they had better choreos
also for taesan no hate at all..he’s actually my bias
but I’ve noticed he seems so uninterested in the choreos like he’s just doing them for the sake of it…or maybe he’s tired ? I’ve noticed in his fancams too ..if he’s genuinely tired I hope he gets better but if that’s not the case Im kinda dissapointed😭😭😭 and that also points to how he too probably feels that the choreos are not so enjoyable bcoz ikkk he’s someone who genuinely enjoys performing
