Bibimbap – First Time!

Bibimbap - First Time!

Hey All – Trying to eat healthier, and my accountability buddy suggested trying Korean recipes, so have been looking for low-carb, high-protein. I tried this the other day, and it was amazing!

Followed the recipe from someone on IG – Rice Cooker Bibimbap (IG is nutritionbykylie).

Had to make a few changes:

  • Zucchini in place of carrots (forgot to cut the carrots)
  • Cabbage in place of bean sprouts (I have to buy them by the bag, and can never use them up)
  • Baby Bok Choy in place of spinach

Turned out absolutely amazing and was enough for about two or three servings and low-carb provided you don’t eat it all in one sitting which honestly was hard to do!

I didn’t add a fried egg, but will try that next time.

I’ve tried a few other recipes, mostly soups and love them.

For the sauce, I simply used Sriracha but am looking for a product made by Club House: Korean Style Gochugaru Seasoning.

I see it on Amazon but it’s $17.00 and I bought it locally for probably $4 or $5 but can’t remember where (it was about one year ago). I’ve checked most stores and can’t find this.

The ingredients look pretty easy, so I could by the individual spices and mix it up myself but wanted to see if anyone here might know where I could buy this from? I am in Canada, so US options won’t work.
