a few weeks into korea. here's what i've been eating

been traveling around korea for a while now. these are the ones that stuck with me.

first pic is pork belly grilled under a pile of minari. kimchi jjim near nambu bus terminal station. got some home cooking too, hanwoo braised with big green onions and yukgaejang. maybe it’s because the green onions were organic, but both were really good.

at the gomtang place i ordered a side of seasoned beef too. jonggak was dwaeji gukbap, and in gangnam i went to a kalguksu place that’s been on michelin’s bib gourmand list. had mandu guk in donggyo-dong, then scallops and bean sprouts as anju at a bar in the same neighborhood. the yukjeon gukbap, basically yukgaejang with beef jeon in it, wasn’t as good as i expected.

gwangjang market was so packed i could barely walk.

still a lot of places i haven’t been. if there’s somewhere i shouldn’t miss, let me know.
