How do you think idols and labels react internally When comebacks “flop” ?

I’ve just recently got into kpop within the past year so I’ve never been one to care about charts and stream numbers or ever discussed them into I got into this space. But one thing I’ve always been curious about is how do these idols and companies react when their big comebacks don’t do as well as they’ve hoped. Like do you think it’s some big freak out or it’s just a shrug and let’s continue to promote it. Because I have to assume that the amount of money and work Invested in the roll out and promotions of these comebacks would drive anyone insane if it didn’t do well. And then in turn do you think it affects how the long the company takes to put out another big project for that group aka shelving them? Just me thinking out loud and wanting to hear thoughts
