Nowadays every group does their YouTube shows and all members are able to showcase their own personality and variety skills, but in the context of older generations, idols actually go on TV broadcast and variety shows and mingle with comedians, etc. More than just your typical vocalist or dancer position, every group tend to have their own variety entertaining character. At debut for Twice, it was Dahyun, for Momoland, it was JooE, nowadays, for Nmixx, it’s Haewon.
Back at debut and even for most of their career, Seunghee was the member from Oh My Girl who was that variety show character for them. Obviously the typical “face of the group” or visual member was also sent to TV and variety shows most of the time, and people knew their company pushed YooA to occupy that role too. Mimi often just stayed in the background for the most part. But since Earth Arcade and the Na PD effect took over, Mimi took advantage and now she’s more sought after than Seunghee, Arin, or YooA, obviously being part of the Earth Arcade regular lineup, and was in Sixth Sense spin-off show with Yoo Jae-suk, frequently guesting on shows like Running Man too.
Just an observation, since Seunghee had the bright energy, typical gag of doing impersonation, funny bits stuff on shows most of the time.
