Their comeback is nearing and many speculates that Rami will be back as well. But before the next full 7-member album drops, let me just write a little appreciation post for Rora.
Covering Rami’s Lines
On May 9, 2025, YG announced that Rami will be on hiatus due to health reasons. And on May 17, 2025 (just 8 days after the announcement), Babymonster performed for the 1st time in their ongoing Hello Monsters World Tour as six members. Since then, Rora has been taking over Rami’s lines while Rami is in hiatus.
She did not ask for it. It was assigned to her by the company. Taking over Rami’s lines, Rami’s high notes, learning Rami’s choreography positions, and adlibs – all of these while singing to her own lines.
Not even once did I see her slack off on stage. Her stage energy is always consistent. Even if she is not in the center, she sings live and performs great. She is always bright and interacts well with the fans and staff.
Busy Schedule while Attending School
When they are not in tour, the other members can probably get some rest. But Rora still has to go to school as regular senior highschool student.
And if you’re familiar with Korean culture, you probably know that senior year in highschool is probably the hardest year in highschool. Students need to complete certain attendance requirements to graduate. And everyone is busy studying and preparing for their College Entrance Exam (CSAT).
On top of doing the World Tour and attending school, Rora has also been MCing for a few times already, and doing variety shows as well. Not to mention the group’s other activities like album preparation and brand invitations.
Getting hated
And yet, she still got tons of hate for so many things.
– She got hated for covering Rami’s lines.
– She got hated for enjoying a concert with YG and his daughter.
– She got hated for winning the Discipline Leader Award.
– People spread rumors about her dating a teacher.
– People spread rumors that she hates Ahyeon just because of their Sheesh reaction video.
– She still is the least biased and least popular member and her fancams almost always got the least number of views.
TLDR:
But even with all the hate and all the busy schedule, I want to appreciate Rora’s character and work ethics the most. She is always consistent and bright and has good personality. I always hear the staffs laughing whenever they are with her.
What I’m saying is, as a fan I hope other Monstiez could appreciate her as well because she is indeed has done a really great job as a member of Babymonster. You never saw her crumble on stage even while the pressure is so heavy on her.
