Seeing how people are reacting to Taylor Swift announcing her new single shows that Kpop would blow their mind seeing Kpop releases

So I was scrolling on pop culture subreddits and I saw that Taylor Swift was releasing a new single. Many of the top comments read “Can she announce retirement instead? 😭” and “Imagine how tired we are.” I was also scrolling on Twitter and seeing “why is she always releasing stuff.” And that made me realize that these type of people would not survive kpop because of how comebacks are.

I think this is why Blackpink was the most popular Kpop girl group and very well-known to the general public. Blackpink often follow the western releases strategy, like a year and so, which helped western audiences connect with them better. Meanwhile, 3rd gen peers like Twice and Red Velvet and their release strategies would not have resonated with the western audiences. This is not the main factor, but a key factor.
