Jang Dong-hyeok has called for the impeachment of Lee Jae-myung, after Lee stepped out of the voting booth to ask about the validity of a half-stamped vote. Jang argues that this was a clear and transparent attempt at electioneering by the president. Jang had previously opposed the impeachment of Yoon Seok-yeol after his declaration of martial law. He acknowledged that the martial law should have been lifted, but he argued that removing the president by impeachment was too extreme and politically destructive. I’m curious as to the proportionality of these two responses. Does the community here see these two responses as proportional or disproportional?
