I would like to preface this by saying this is not hate towards any fandom, its just constructive criticism.
I always see kpop fans babying their favorite artists and acting strangely parasocial with them, acting as if they know them personally. Katseye fans specifically have a problem with this(i am a katseye enjoyer, but i wouldnt really consider myself a fan because of this exact reason). They always talk about how “Yoonchae just turned 18 and they already have her twerking and wearing such revealing clothes she looks so uncomfortable!!” and similar things about megan. They also just put words into the girls mouths and act like theyre being tortured by their labels.
Its frustrating seeing these assumptions about their comfortability in outfits, when in reality theres literally no signs that theyre uncomfortable. When someone is uncomfortable in an outfit you can tell. But katseye fans are obsessed with the soft feminine passive trope that they just dont want to believe that these girls would be okay wearing these outfits, even if theyve literally said that they enjoy wearing less lmao.
its just kind of weird and tiring to see this mindset regarding grown women, for some reason all these fans want to victimize them? why do you always want to victimize successful women and undermine them?? half the posts i see about katseye are just made up conspiracies from some fans that think they know these girls personally. youve never met them, you dont know them, you dont know how they feel, stop pretending you do. even if they are uncomfortable or hate HYBE, let them speak for themselves? theyre not babies and spreading rumors as if they cant fend for themselves does so much more harm than good.
These are strong successful women, dont belittle them by acting like theyre victims in every scenario.
