Honestly evertime katseye drop a new song, perform at a music festival, wear something revealing or get entangled with controversies regarding their personal life, people on internet act like they are slowing fading from the mainstream pop culture. Especially after Manon controversy how every katseye sub reacted, I genuinely thought people are done with katseye, and they are gradually becoming irrelevant. But man I was wrong their two nights at Coachella, their LATAM music festival, their recent Korea and Australia visit seems to paint a complete different picture. I wonder why some people wants everyone to believe Katseye is no longer famous and are not supposed to be taken seriously.
The whole Katseye incident made me believe opinions on internet and groud realities are completely different. Also no matter how much people say stuffs like ‘we won’t support enhypen if heeseung does not return’, ‘we won’t support Evan coz he left enhypen’, ‘we won’t support nj at all after what they/ their fans did to lsf and illit’, ‘we will support nj if all 5 members perfoms, ot5 or nothing’. All these are just internet noise. And everything will be fine once they start making music and performing.
The last time I actually saw internet discourse affecting the real life popularity of the group was kiof.
