hello!
I recently started uni so i met some new friends who are very much into kpop. I never really knew much about it but I listened to the songs they sent me and actually very much enjoy it!
After doing my own research on Kpop I came across interviews, training lessons and their working hours and I was a bit shocked really.
I figured it makes sense that Idols are โpolished to perfectionโ in terms of dancing and singing and overall artistic skill because south korea has a strict work ethic for everyone, not just idols.
I started listening to the music even more and talking to my newer friends about it but I never really whole heartedly got myself to support the industry behind these talented people.
Like, I feel bad knowing that some artists didnt see their families for years and dont get to just date people and eat whatever they want it feels very abusive :/
Im also just wondering if this has been an active topic that is spoken about in Kpop fan groups because I never came across this kind of discussion before
Thanks!
