I’ve been watching a lot of one-pot rice cooker meal prep videos. Basically put in rice, protein, veggies, and some sauce and you have a quick after work meal. I love the simplicity of it.
I’ve been eyeing the Cuckoo twin pressure IH rice cooker. Something that worries me is it looks like the pressure cooker has an auto-steam release function. Once it finishes, it looks like it just opens the steam valve vs letting you have the ability to natural release it like a IP for example.
This is fine if it was just rice but I’ve had experiences with my big IP where if you had a lot of protein and sauce in the pot, a forced steam release tends to release really small protein and sauce particles and makes a mess in the kitchen and also makes the unit harder to clean.
Was wondering if anyone who has this unit: Have you made these one-pot rice cooker meals before using the pressure function? If so have you encountered an issue with the steam release forcing out a bunch of protein or sauce particles into the air? Is there any way to make it natural release instead?
