So the court has ruled in favor of ADOR in the lawsuit and confirmed that the contract remains in effect. Basically, the court rejected all the claims made from NJ’s side, including the argument that the dismissal of former ADOR CEO Min initiated a breach of contract and that the breakdown of trust between the two parties justified termination.
The court said “Min’s dismissal alone doesn’t suggest a disruption in management or prove that ADOR is incapable of carrying out its duties. Also, there’s no clause in the contract that mandates Min must remain in charge of ADOR.” They added, “Even if she was removed from the CEO position, she could’ve continued her producer duties and a CEO position was not necessary to fulfill those responsibilities.”
Well, it’s been nearly a year since this all began. So… what’s next for the girls? They seemed pretty adamant about not wanting to continue working with ADOR. I imagine they’ll appeal the ruling immediately, but there’s no doubt it’s going to be an uphill battle from here on out.

edit: Apparently, Sejong, NJ’s legal representative just put out a statement.
“The members respect the court’s decision; however, given the complete breakdown of trust with ADOR, they believe it is no longer possible to return to the company and continue their entertainment activities as before.
As such, the members plan to immediately appeal the first trial’s verdict. They hope the appellate court will take a comprehensive look at the facts and legal grounds regarding the termination of the exclusive contract and arrive at a wise and fair judgment.
Lastly, the members sincerely thank the fans who have waited and supported them throughout this long process.”
