LG Electronics Inc. will unveil 25 new refrigerator and washer-dryer models tailored for the European market at IFA 2025, which opens on Sept. 5 in Berlin, Germany, the company said on Tuesday.
The new lineup is designed for Europe’s compact kitchens and distinct consumer habits, improving energy and space efficiency with more flexible installation and reduced temperature fluctuations.
They incorporate AI-powered features that monitor users’ door-opening habits and lower the temperature in advance during peak times, said South Korea’s largest home appliance maker.
The upgraded models target European consumers’ heightened sensitivity to power bills after a surge in electricity rates in recent years.

“Our new flagship models such as bottom freezers and French door refrigerators use far less energy than last year’s models, reaching the industry’s highest efficiency levels,” LG said in a press release.
A bottom freezer is a refrigerator with the freezer compartment located at the bottom. French door refrigerators feature two doors on top, with pull-out freezer drawers below.
In 2021, LG introduced the LG Signature Heat Pump WashCombo, Europe’s first all-in-one washer-dryer to earn an A grade for energy efficiency. The model has propelled LG to the top of the region’s all-in-one washer-dryer market.
“LG will strengthen its market leadership with products tailored to Europe’s home appliance market and consumer lifestyles,” said Park Hee-wook, senior vice president and head of LG Electronics’ H&A Products Planning division
According to Statista, a German research firm, Europe’s home appliance market is forecast to grow at an average annualized rate of 4.1% through 2030 from an estimated 150 trillion won ($110 billion) in 2025.
