Kim Jong-un Dog Toy Banned by Korean Customs?

In time for my recent trip to Korea, I tried to get 20 dog toys that I sell shipped to met me at my hotel from my logistics centre in China. I was hoping to film some content for social media where I handed these squeaky toys out to people in Hongdae on a night out just to gauge what Koreans would think – for TikTok/Reels whatever.

The annoying thing? The toys never arrived. The shipping company told me that they got held up at customs and they needed a personal contact and address of the individual importing despite me already having left my Hotels address and contact details on the package and customs form. Long story short, they didn’t get in. The daily update from the forwarding company was “Customs Check” – that’s it.

Before I got 1000 of these things made, I didn’t think that the Korean government was so strict on this sort of thing. My understanding of the legal system was that it was a lot more free than say China/Vietnam.

Does anyone out there know why this toy might’ve been held up? Yes, he’s holding a nuke but its a dog toy for god’s sake. Plus, the idea is that the dog should destroy the thing.

Like, I make Trump, Putin and Musk ones and those have all gotten into the country fine.

Anyone got any ideas? Is it an issue with the Hotel being the address/contact? Or were they trying to come after me?
