South Korea’s Hyundai Mobis Co. said on Thursday that it held the M-Sphere 2024 exhibition at its Uiwang Research Center in Gyeonggi Province from August 28 to 29.

This two-day event showcased new mobility manufacturing technologies to the group companies and key partners.

Around 1,000 attendees are participating in the exhibition, including executives and employees involved in production technology and procurement from Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp., Hyundai Wia Corp., Hyundai Transys Inc., Hyundai Kefico, and other affiliated parts companies, along with primary and secondary partners.

During the event, Hyundai Mobis unveiled 42 new manufacturing technologies, which were organized into eight themes.

Highlights include digital twin technology utilizing virtual reality (VR), AI-based equipment control, and quality enhancement technologies for vision inspection.

This marks the first time Hyundai Mobis has hosted a large-scale exhibition combining its production strengths in core areas like electrification and electronic components with smart factory technologies.

Hyundai Mobis plans to expand the application of its expertise in precise parts processing, developed at the Uiwang Research Center, to a broader range of products and share this knowledge with its affiliated parts companies.
