Rebellions partners Arm on AI computing chiplet Techs

Rebellions, South Korea’s artificial intelligence (AI) chip design startup, said on Tuesday that it partnered with h UK-based semiconductor design company ARM, Samsung Electronics Co., and ADTechnology to develop a new AI central processing unit (CPU) chiplet.

The collaboration is expected to enhance AI computing capabilities, setting a new standard for a scalable and efficient silicon solution that combines Rebellions’ expertise in chip design with extensive industry experience from Arm, Samsung Electronics, and ADTechnology.

Rebellions will integrate its AI accelerator, REBEL, with ADTechnology’s compute chiplet powered by Arm® Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS) V3 technology.

ADTechnology will design and implement the solution using Samsung Electronics’ advanced 2nm cutting-edge process technology, ensuring the production of high-quality chips.

A chiplet is a tiny integrated circuit (IC) containing a well-defined functionality subset. It is designed to be combined with other chiplets on an interposer in a single package to create a complex component such as a computer processor.
