Yeonjun is truly a person, who was born to be an artist

So, Yeonjun released his debut solo album “No Labels, Part 1” with its title track “Talk to you”, a song in the hard rock genre. The album has a total of 6 songs ranging from rock, to hip hop and rnb.

The album, just like its name, describes Yeonjun as he is. Everything about the album from the unique roll-out, to the drop of the MV. To summarize, from the beginning, he mentioned that the way stuff gets released was his idea, the company just let him do whatever he wanted and I love that.

The roll out already started in a unique way. He teased his solo on his Instagram account with a short live, which showed a clip of his music video filming set. Days later, on his birthday, September 13th, he posted an mysterious post, which indicated the start of his solo journey!

Moas expected a schedule or some type of heads up from BH, but Yeonjun insisted on surprising us daily. There was no scheduler, no trailer, no typical concept photos, highlight medley and NO mv teaser! He did everything in his own way and it was such a cool approach, which I have not seen in a long time in Kpop.

He instead created his own “no labels” merch just to promote his album, opened a pinterest account in which he posted the “concept photos”, he spoiled bits of the songs and choreo on his Instagram and snippets of his recording session, posted the tracklist himself, had “walking human” billboards, etc.

Yeonjun had a clear vision regarding his album and its so apparent when listening to it, as he participated in the song-making process of 5/6 songs.

The MV “No Labels, Part 1” finally dropped today at 2pm KST and having no MV teaser, we didn’t know what to expect, but nobody would have ever thought of him dropping 3 songs in one MV. The whole MV is 6 minutes long and includes MVs of the songs “Coma”, “Let me tell you ft. Daniela of Katseye” and “Talk to you”. He portrayed the MVs in such different ways, but they still fit together as one big story. The choreo clips from “Coma” and “Talk toy ou” and the duo dance between Yeonjun and Daniela were my fav moments from the MV! I can recommend everybody to watch this piece of art: https://youtu.be/2GPFLanHujM?si=vhSUqAth8QpUsa9d

Yeonjun has always been someone who wanted to fully express himself and he finally had the chance to do that today! I am so proud of him and can’t wait to hear more from him.
