This is coming from a 19 year old girl. I am literally their ages and I swear it’s getting excessive. I know they may be from cultures that’re more used to revealing clothing, but I’m not really sure if all of their outfits really are chosen by them anymore.
It feels like the company exploits their confident image and tries to purposely show more and more skin under the guise that the girls want it themselves. You don’t need to be half naked to be confident.
Their styling during Debut era was the best balance imo. Debut is a confident song, and they were still dressed appropriately. If they were ~25 years old, I might not be so bothered. But they’re barely adults. If that were me I would definitely look back on those moments embarrassed. It’s like how Kpop gives revealing and sexualized outfits to their minor member the second they hit 18. It’s just been giving me an icky feeling, but everyone has been complimenting their outfits, so I feel really alone in this opinion.
