I saw a post the other day talking about I-dles comeback, it basically said that other than Soyeon the other members didn’t seem too into their recent comeback. They then said if Soyeon was so into the concept and the song why didn’t she just make it a solo?
It made me wonder why Soyeon doesn’t do more solo work. I know there is always controversy surrounding Soyeon for apparently making the comebacks surround herself (and honestly I don’t really have a strong opinion on that), but if she makes music that she feels a strong personal connection to, I think she should just do it solo.
I-dle have been doing very well but it’s kind of stopped now. I don’t really think the “rebrand” was the smartest move since it seems to have put a lot of people off from the group and people are just getting bored of them.
I think I-dle are at a point where they can and should start freely doing their own solo work if they feel like it. Whether they decide to release their own music or just do variety content, it would be up to them.
I personally think it would have been good timing for a Soyeon solo comeback, and I would have tuned in. I also really enjoyed Minnie’s solo debut so I’d also look forward to her potentially releasing more music.
I honestly just think it’s not a bad time for I-dle to maybe take a small break from group comebacks and do what they want for a bit.
I’m just curious if anyone else feels this way.
