Why did JYP make NIZIU a japanese only promoting group?

TWICE was very popular in Japan, but they were also popular in SEA and Korea (and everywhere else too). If NIZIU was meant to replace TWICE in the “cute” department, why are they only promoting in Japan?

Some of you might say that well, it was a Japanese survival show with Japanese only participants and they only sing in Japanese (with exception of ‘Heartris’) and his goal was to target the Japanese market only, which well sure, but why didn’t he think of making another more ‘global’ TWICE?

I am sure it would have been lucrative, and now I am personally always on the hunt for a new cute group (which is why I stan UNIS) since JYP still hasn’t brought us a new one.

Not that they/he have to, but I just see this as a missed opportunity.

I have nothing against ITZY, NIZIU, NMIXX, GIRLSET and dodree, I think it is good that JYP is experimenting with new genres and another group might be too much. TWICE just had a legacy that could have been taken on better then it was in my opinion.
