Hi everyone ! Me and a friend are planning to move to korea, we would like to have an immersion in the Korean language through real-time communication with others, like in calls or live chats. I’ve tried searching for Discord servers, content creator communities, and even gaming servers, but I haven’t had much luck.
It seems that many spaces I find are quite hostile or not very welcoming to me and my friend since we don’t speak Korean. Additionally, there are often many restrictions for playing video games in their country, where many games that are very common elsewhere are limited. I also haven’t been able to find any VTubers or similar content creators. It feels like famous creators don’t have Discord servers associated with them, as if they are more closed off and less willing to engage with their communities.
Does anyone know why this might be the case? We consider that the best way to learn a language is to stay close to natives. It’s being hard for us, specifically because we are trying to this while being online. Please help !! Thanks. I’d be glad to reply to you and detail more of my experience.
