I’m really curious about something and I’m hoping people outside the Engene/Enhypen bubble can give me some honest insight. And just a small note: if you don’t like Enhypen and are only here to put them down, please skip this thread. I’m looking for respectful, genuine perspectives rather than negativity.
Since I’m always surrounded by enhypen contents and engenes hyping them up, I honestly can’t tell what their actual level of popularity or success looks like from the outside. Do they genuinely seem like a group that’s growing fast and becoming more well known in the wider kpop scene, or does it mostly look like hardcore fans boosting them so it feels bigger than it is?
For those who aren’t engenes whether you’re a casual kpop listener, a multi, or someone who only sees enhypen occasionally on your timeline, how do they appear to you? Do they seem like a group that’s gaining real traction, or still more like a fandom driven group whose success is mainly visible inside their own bubble?
I’d also love to hear from people in different countries or regions aside from countries in east asia like in the west such as US, Canada, Europe, latin america, SEA counties, etc. Do you see enhypen mentioned much? How well known are they? Do casual kpop listeners or locals know them? Do people talk about them or play their music? basically how strong does their presence feel where you live, and does it match what Engenes online say about their growth?
I’d really appreciate any honest, kind perspectives from people who aren’t deep inside the fandom. I’m trying to understand enhypen’s popularity/growth as objectively as possible and not just from the engene echo chamber. thank you!!
