I have a lot of unpopular opinions that have lead to me having a blocklist of fellow fans as long as the one I have of antis. It’s wild how many people want you to *** over a kpop opinion
Without further ado, here are my unpopular opinions as an army on BTS
-
If groups want to be popular in a multitide of countries, they should invest in learning English, since that’s the lingua franca. Not being able to string together 2 sentences in English or understand one easy question when you’re heavily promoting in Western countries is fairly embarrassing
-
Smoking is bad for your health and everyone standing near you while you’re smoking
-
Pandering to Korean fans and apologising over and over again for the siliest things is fine if you’re mostly/only promoting in Korea (or perhaps East-Asia in general), it’s nagl otherwise
-
Glamourising Korea’s work culture and age hierarchy is weird. Lecturing non-Koreans on it (and colonisation of all things) isn’t intellectual, it’s baffling.
-
If influential, rich idols on their second, third etc contract have dynamic pricing, they’re probably more than okay with that and it’s not just their company to blame (or being greedy …)
-
I like my faves, I heavily disagree with them on several subjects. I like them as people and artists, which doesn’t stop me from sometimes thinking they’re being dumb, inconsiderate or cringe.
