Hi everyone! I’m hoping someone might be able to help me find my mom’s childhood penpal. His name was Young “Kevin” Kim, from Korea, and they wrote letters around 1984. Unfortunately, I don’t have much more info — only his English name “Kevin Kim” and that his Korean name probably included “Young.” I also have a photo from that time (attached). It shows him at what looks like a swimming pool, possibly with family. The back just says “Pen pal Young Kevin Kim Korea 1984.” My mom would love to reconnect or just know how he’s doing. If anyone knows a Young Kim who might have had an American penpal in the ‘80s, or if you have advice on where to search, I’d be so grateful.
