Suddenly what if nobody gives a flying f about what these idols do in private or public?

A celebrity makes a stupid comment online, does some stupid shit. Scandal breaks out. Articles get written. And then boom nothing. Nobody engages. The space that used to be filled with a number of people in the airport just to see their idols is now empty. And now everyone just consumes the art but not the artist.

The celebrity does something in hopes of getting attention. But nothing happens. Checks trending. Their name isn’t there. Goes on with their life confused.

They’d probably miss it. The same attention they pretend to hate. Now it’s gone. And suddenly it’s not so fun anymore.

The industry is built on this. Platforms profit from it. Parasocial obsession is literally a product they sell us. Relationship rumours. Company drama. All of it is content. And we keep buying it.

What if we just didn’t care. Bought the ticket. Listened to the music. Criticise it love it hate it whatever. But never really judge celebrities on moral standards we don’t even hold ourselves to. We do dumb things every day. We say stupid stuff. But a celebrity does it and suddenly everyone’s a philosopher.

Now look this will never happen that’s just so impossible. But I do feel like the shift is happening little by little. It’s so funny to think about but genuinely it would be so freaking good if such a world existed.
