For the last 4-5 years straight to the point disbandments have become rare and a lot of grps unofficial disband, with the group existing on paper but being inactive for years.
On one hand,I can’t lie,I get it,the members want to keep the group brand for their solo activities, they don’t want to loose fans, etc. But on the other hand, when it’s been years and years without even a public appearance from the group together it gets confusing and you can’t quite pinpoint where their career as a group is.
You start accepting they’re practically disbanded and then the company or even the members themselves announced they haven’t disbanded just to go back to radio silence again.
This is not a rant,it’s just me expressing my desire for clarity when it’s pretty clear the grp’s path together has come to an end. I honestly prefer the truth over having even a slight hope for a group that won’t come back, even if deep down I know they disbanded.
I like a lot of group who are at this point in their career and I would love some clarity. Tho,like I said earlier,it’s a pretty complex issue and you can’t officially disband the group if the members want to use the brand for solo activities.
To those who have faves in similar situations, what do you guys think? Would you prefer the group existing, even if it’s just on paper or an official disbandment announcement?
