The very first thing I thought after my first listen was that it’s all over the place….A true hot mess. I felt like my head was being spinned around left and right and I was getting dizy…That’s the best way I can describe it. I had to listen to it a second time right after the first just to process what I had just heard
It’s all over the place to the point it’s unlistenable….I don’t know what’s going on with it. Easily one of the worst songs of the year. I’ve been a polarazing songs lover ever since before I became a kpop fan,it’s just my thing. I was in the frontlines defending O.O on the day nmixx debuted. I’ve also clicked with other polarazing songs such as next level,dice,mitm. So the fact EVEN I didn’t like it…says something. Mind you polarazing songs are easily one of my fav genres…
Back to the drawing board. No catchy parts,barely any singing,a minor twerking,bad lyrics,2 minutes long,incoherent. I’m disappointed.
If I’m being honest,I don’t mind cringy or bad lyrics. I actually only ever mind lyrics if they’re bigoted.So the lyrics aren’t a problem for me,personally.
On a positive note,the girls looked stunning and the visuals were explosive. I think I’m gonna be watching this mv on mute.
This is in no way hate to the girls themselves. Their names aren’t in the credits. It is however hate to the producers responsible for their music. How do you have such a vocally talented grp WITH a self producing member who can produce quality music and instead of capitalizing on their insane talent you come up with….this.
I feel bad for the girls cause I know the kpop community well enough to be sure kpop fans will redirect the hate towards them.And they already had a rough last week. At the end of the day it’s just a song and no matter how bad it is,you can just ignore it.
Anyway,enough with the word vomit. My final review is, hybe needs to go back to the drawing board and capitalize the girls talents. They are STACKED as a line up. If they keep releasing this kind of tracks tho,they’ll never break out of the kpop bubble. If hybe plays their cards right,they’ll break out in the west. But so far,I don’t see it happening
