Yeah the song absolutely sucks, not really a discussion to be had, I get it some people can like it, some people like licorice for example but it’s not the majority, my real problem with this song is why are the stans trying to gaslight themselves into thinking it’s actually all intentional, “actually it’s a test song”, “it’s a parody of hyper-pop”, it doesn’t matter,the song sucks and the effort to pass it off as a great message is pretty pathetic, don’t even take my word for it just go and watch the comment sections for the music and let the comments talk for themselves, it ok to admit tha the idol you’re stanning made a shit song it’s not the end of the world sweeties, oh and listening to it 20 times and suddenly liking it because “the lyrics are stuck in my head” yeah you listened to it 20 times dumbass any song does that. And to end no the song wasn’t a marketing success because it’s “talked about everywhere” these convos are only happening because stans are trying to say the song is good and not that they just like if not for the infighting in the k-pop community and the bias gnarly would just be a meme for a couple of months and then die as it should, the stans made it popular not the idols and most certainly not the song Ps: I don’t know if I sound super mad I hate writing because of this but I’m chill it just really triggers me seeing people delude themselves for companies and idols who are manufactured and don’t give a shit about them.
