Seventeen sells out Hong Kong’s largest stadium, proving unrivaled ticket power

Seventeen has once again demonstrated its global clout, selling out Hong Kong’s largest stadium within hours.

Pledis Entertainment said Thursday that all seats for SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_] IN HONG KONG were swept up immediately after general sales opened on Aug. 28. This came on the heels of a complete pre-sale sellout, underscoring the group’s extraordinary demand in the city.

The concerts, slated for Sept. 27–28 at Kai Tak Stadium, carry added significance: the venue has hosted global icons such as Coldplay, and now it will resound with the voices of Seventeen and their devoted Carats — the group’s official fandom.

Before heading to Hong Kong, Seventeen will launch the new world tour in Incheon on Sept. 13–14. Those two shows at the Incheon Asiad Main Stadium also sold out instantly, setting the stage for a global run that will span five North American cities in October and Japan’s four major domes through the year’s end.

For Seventeen, the string of sellouts is less about breaking records than about creating shared memories. Over the past two years, the 13-member act has transformed stadiums in Seoul, Kanagawa, Bulacan, Jakarta, Singapore and Bangkok into nights to remember. These achievements also propelled them to No. 3 on Billboard’s midyear Top Tours ranking — the highest ever for a K-pop artist.
