Samsung tops US consumer TV satisfaction study

Samsung Electronics Co. ranked as the top TV brand for consumer satisfaction in the US, according to the 2024 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Household Appliance and Electronics Study 2024, released Thursday.

In the TV category, Samsung earned 84 out of 100 points, surpassing last year’s leader, LG Electronics Inc., which scored 82 points.

Hisense, Sony, and Vizio followed closely, each with 81 points, while TCL came in at 79 points.

Whirlpool secures first place among household appliances with 83 points, praised for its durability and innovative features such as SlimTech insulation in select refrigerators.

LG Electronics, which tied with Whirlpool and Haier for first place last year, secured second place with 82 points.

Samsung followed in third with 81 points, while Haier and Electrolux tied at 79 points each, and Bosch scored 78 points.

Samsung Electronics and Whirlpool tied for first in refrigerator satisfaction, both scoring 83 points.

Samsung Electronics also led in the washing machine category with 84 points, while LG topped the dryer category with 85 points.

The ACSI is a respected US market research firm that surveys 200,000 consumers annually across over 40 industries, evaluating satisfaction with more than 400 companies.
