I get the fandom concern for his previous social media posts, but that’s not what Nana is talking about.
Does it not make anyone else uncomfortable seeing a huge industry senior dogpile on a random mid tier level idol? It’s so direct in a way that I’ve never seen in my 12 years as a kpop fan… it almost makes me wonder if he’s done something specificity to her and this is her way of saying that indirectly.
I’m not disputing that his behavior was a bit rude, I think it was. But in what world is it okay for a senior idol, who knows well how small things are blown out of proportion and follow idols for their entire career, to start and fan a fire over such a thing?
It’s such a power trip on her part that it really makes me question if she really cares about his power trip, or if this is just about venting her frustrations about juniors as a whole and he’s caught in the cross fire.
His bubble messages are not helping. A manager seriously needs to take away his phone. But can we cut him some slack? He’s watching his own career go up in flames for a split second human decision that we’ve all made. Of everyone, including Nana, who’s so up in arms – they themselves have been rude to someone at least once because all human beings have.
Again, this isn’t about his potentially misogynistic social media activity which is a different conversation entirely. But it’s about weaponized outrage and power imbalances between public figures and forums.
