ok so there’s a Korean hotpot place that opened up near me somewhat recently, never been yet, but i noticed it on doordash, and i got myself the veggie option (not a dietary restriction i just love vegetables) and oh my god. what was this delicious stuff. i feel like a rube but please help me, i’d be grateful for someone even just naming vegetables that might be less recognizable to white bread like me, so that i can google image search or something. i will try to describe what was in there… there was bok choy and mushrooms, but also there was this long green thing tied in knots, and something else that i think was tofu skin? wrinkled like cabbage leaves but WHITE and were definitely not cabbage. and another thing that was brown and similar in texture to the knotted green thing. it was not listed in the menu description so i’m kind of at a loss. were they types of seaweed? i am not overly familiar with different kinds of sea veg but i’ve loved all of it i’ve tried so far and that was the closest thing i can think of.
