On March 3rd 2025, Korea Supreme Court judge, Ji Gwi-yeon(지귀연) once paroled Yoon from 1st detention (not current 2nd one!), but the controversy (giving Yoon special previleges that hasn’t been before) has sparked. DPK currently deems that current supreme court’s trial for Yoon’s treason may NOT independent from Yoon himself (concerns for possible kangaroo court), because current chief justice Cho Hee-dae(조희대) was nominated by Yoon.
