I have been thinking about this for a long time: why do you think that companies don’t release official lyric videos and line distributions? And I mean the YouTube ones that are color-coded and everything. There is obviously a market for that kind of content; there are hundreds of such videos made unofficially. I feel like fans, especially data-focused ones like myself, would eat up official statistics like that. I mean, knowing who all of the ad-libs are? PLEASE. They could even include credits for the writers of the lyrics, the composer, and the producer. Plus, then we would have insight into the artist’s thoughts with near-perfect translations and everything. I don’t understand it; it really seems like a huge market they are not capitalizing on. Especially right after a release, when most people don’t have the physical album yet, or don’t know the voices of the members
Additionally, it would just be more content that they could monetize. I don’t get it The main reason I can think of that companies wouldn’t want to do this is groups that have super unfair line distributions; it would be kind of like telling on themselves. But for some groups, the line distribution aligns with members’ preferences, even if it isn’t a perfect split.
Anyway, what are your thoughts on why they don’t do this?
