According to an exit poll conducted by public broadcaster NHK, the LDP, together with its coalition partner — the Japan Innovation Party — is projected to secure a two-thirds majority in Japan’s House of Representatives. The ruling coalition’s landslide win is generally good news for Seoul-Tokyo relations. Since Takaichi took office in October last year, the leaders from the two countries have met twice. President Lee Jae Myung first met with the Japanese leader on Oct. 30 at a summit held on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province. From that perspective, the two summits within a three-month period sends a positive signal, suggesting that the two leaders feel comfortable
