The teaser image of Kia’s The New Sportage
South Korea’s Kia Corp. unveiled the teaser images and videos of The New Sportage, the facelift model of Kia’s flagship compact sport utility vehicle (SUV) Sportage on Thursday.
The cumulative global sales of the Sportage have topped 7.6 million units since its market debut in 1993. Its facelift model was revealed in three years.
In the teaser images, Kia partially unveiled the lamp designs on the front and rear of The New Sportage, the vehicle’s silhouette.
The new model features Kia’s family-look Star Map Signature Lighting applied to the daytime running lights (DRLs) and rear combination lamps.
Kia explained that the vehicle’s side profile has a sleek roofline and a dynamic silhouette with a voluminous feel.
Kia will collaborate with Netflix’s popular series “Squid Game Season 2” to create merchandise for The New Sportage as part of its marketing strategy.
The full details, including the design, specifications, and pricing, will be revealed in November before the official launch.
