Hyundai AutoEver establishes JV in Indonesia

South Korea’s Hyundai AutoEver Corp. said on Monday it built the joint venture PT Terra Link technology in Indonesia with India’s MapmyIndia. 

The joint venture focuses on high-quality navigation maps of the Southeast Asian automotive market. 

Hyundai Autoever plans to build maps for six countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore through the joint venture.

According to Hyundai AutoEver, the demand for in-vehicle navigation systems in Southeast Asia is rapidly growing. 

The company explained that each country in Southeast Asia has different road environments such as traffic direction and road markings.
