It’s crazy that this is what the industry has come to. Lngshot danced with the female trainees of MoreVision’s upcoming gg at Inkigayo today while performing Facetime and of course some “fans” are up in arms. Personally, it doesn’t come as a surpise because they were in the music video as well but also Jay Park stated from the get go that Lngshot wouldn’t be like everyone else. In saucin, he played the role of the stuck up CEO of a kpop company to make fun of them even going as far as saying “You guys are idols. You’re not dating. You do as I say”. This for me was tell enough (and should have been for anyone paying attention) that they were doing their own thing especially in an industry where even looking at a person of another gender gets you dating rumors. Obviously, some fans are mad (mostly the Chinese and Korean ones from what I can tell though other international fans were mad too) and they even screamed when the female trainees showed up during the Inkigayo recording so much so that they had to re-record the part. I think it is a good thing to estalish their identity from the start so that later on it is easier (same for the gg too) but it will be an uphill battle. Either way for now, I’m just laughing at the meltdowns I’m witnessing on twitter.
