The global momentum behind Netflix’s animated hit KPop Demon Hunters continues to intensify, with the film’s original soundtrack turning in another dominant performance on the latest Billboard charts—led by the sustained strength of its flagship single “Golden.”
According to Billboard’s latest update dated Nov. 18, “Golden,” performed by Korean American artists EJAE, Audrey Nuna and Rae Ami, held No. 2 on the Hot 100 for the fourth consecutive week, finishing just behind Taylor Swift’s U.S. chart leader “The Fate of Ophelia” from her 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl. Swift retained the top spot on both the Hot 100 and Billboard 200 for a sixth week, becoming the first artist in history to debut at No. 1 on both charts and maintain that dual lead for six straight weeks.
Despite Swift’s dominance, the KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack remained remarkably resilient. A total of eight tracks from the OST entered this week’s Hot 100: “Golden” at No. 2; “Soda Pop” at No. 15; “Your Idol” at No. 24; “How It’s Done” at No. 27; “What It Sounds Like” at No. 32; “Takedown” at No. 43; “Free” at No. 44; and a separate version of “Takedown” performed by TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung at No. 92.
Outside the soundtrack, HYBE’s global girl group KATSEYE rose two spots to No. 31 with “Gabriela,” while TWICE’s “Strategy” charted at No. 87.
“Golden” continues to build an exceptional chart legacy. Since debuting at No. 81, the single has now spent 21 weeks on the Hot 100. Over that span, it held the No. 1 position for seven consecutive weeks, topped the chart for eight weeks in total, and recorded seven additional weeks in the No. 2 slot, underscoring one of the strongest chart runs for an OST single in recent years.
The track’s upward trajectory is expected to strengthen further after securing five nominations at the 68th Grammy Awards, including a coveted slot in the general-field category Song of the Year.
