Kimchi On Your Own

Oh man, making your own kimchi is so worth it both for taste and cost tbh. It’s not nearly as intimidating as it looks online. You basically just need napa cabbage, salt, garlic, ginger, gochugaru, fish sauce or soy sauce if you’re veg, and maybe a bit of sugar or pear/apple for sweetness. Tossed it all, stuffed it in a jar, left it on the counter like a science experiment. Two days later boom!!! spicy magic.

Smells wild ngl, my kitchen reeked like Seoul street food but damn it tasted good. Crunchy, tangy, just right. Also yeah, 100% cheaper in the long run. You buy the gochugaru and fish sauce once, then you’re set for months.
