Idk if other groups in J-pop do this since I only know about AKB48 graduations, like when a j-idol leaves the group, they have a graduation showcasing the idol’s career, having them perform together one last time, fans sending off their faves while their faces ask for support in wtv upcoming project comes or if they become regular citizens, and I think that’s really cute and kinda smart(to prevent gossip/harassment). With the recent waves of idols leaving their groups, I’ve noticed a lot of fans have become extremely weird about it, and it’s honestly worrying. Also yes I know a lot of kpop fans would not like this but I think this is the best way to prevent harassment towards the idols/groups so it’s I just a thought. I feel with graduations they will be able to move on and support their faves in their future career much easier, than how these companies abruptly announce their artist leaving which leaves to speculation and fictional stories fans create for drama. Also, solos will be able to stfu. But ofc I also firmly believe that idols owe nothing to some of their fans, bc honestly who needs enemies when you have THOSE fans, so I understand why they wouldnt do this.
