K-pop is reigning on the global stage as Golden, the standout track from Netflix’s animated film KPop Demon Hunters, secured the No. 1 spot on the UK Official Singles Chart for the fourth week in a row — five weeks in total at the top.
According to the latest chart released on Friday, Golden topped the Official Singles Top 100 for the week of Sept. 5–11. The track has also spent three weeks at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, while the film itself recently claimed the No. 1 position on Netflix’s all-time most popular content list.
Rival group Saja Boys, who appear in the film as Huntrix’s on-screen challengers, also remained high on the charts. Their track Soda Pop slipped one notch to No. 5 but marked its seventh straight week in the rankings. Another Saja Boys track, Your Idol, slid two places to No. 8, extending its chart streak to 10 weeks.
Twice members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung have entered the UK Official Singles Chart with the original soundtrack Takedown, landing at No. 24. With this, a total of four OST tracks from KPop Demon Hunters have secured spots on the chart.
In addition, Twice’s Strategy ranked at No. 32, Blackpink’s Run came in at No. 34, Kats eye’s Gabriela followed at No. 46, Rosé’s solo track Apt. stood at No. 51, and Stray Kids’ Ceremony rounded out the lineup at No. 87.
The Official Charts Company noted that K-pop is firmly dominating the UK rankings this week, with six Korean tracks landing in the Top 40.
