K-pop star Jisoo, a member of Blackpink, has entered the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time as a solo artist, marking a new milestone for the global phenomenon.
According to Billboard on October 21, Jisoo’s new single Eyes Closed (feat. ZAYN) debuted at No. 72 on the Hot 100 chart dated October 25. The track is a collaboration with British singer Zayn, formerly of One Direction.
With this achievement, all four members of Blackpink have now entered the Hot 100 individually, in addition to their numerous group entries — making Blackpink the first K-pop girl group to see every member chart solo on Billboard’s flagship singles chart. Among all K-pop groups, only BTS had previously accomplished the same feat.
Other Blackpink members have already made strong solo showings, with Jennie reaching No. 51 with One of the Girls (with The Weeknd & Lily-Rose Depp), Lisa peaking at No. 68 with Born Again (feat. Doja Cat & Raye), and Rosé soaring to No. 3 with APT. (with Bruno Mars).
Blackpink is also gearing up for a group comeback later this year, their first album release since 2022’s Born Pink.
